Korean Air's cancellation policy

How to cancel a flight at Korean Air online? 

• Open the official website of Korean Air and find the My Trips icon  
• Click on this icon and get the Manage Booking window open 
• Here you need to enter a few things related to your ticket 
• Enter all the details and click on the SEARCH icon 
• It will open the MANAGE MY RESERVATION page
• Here you will have to select the ticket and click on the CHANGE/CANCEL icon   
• Pay the cancellation fee and cancel your ticket 

What is the cancellation policy?  

As per Korean air 24-hour cancellation policy, if you cancel your ticket within 24 hours of booking, you will be eligible to receive a full refund. To get this benefit, your flight should be at least 7 days far from the date of cancellation. 

If the airline is cancelled due to bad weather or technical issues, the air management will contact you and insist you choose an option from two. You will be offered to get a refund or book another flight for the same route. Korean Air refund policy also speaks the same.

If the airline is delayed by more than 5 hours, Korean Air management has the right to cancel the flight. In that case, it is suggested to the airline management confirm their specific processes and policies for weather-related cancellations. 

What is the cancellation fee? 

You don’t need to pay anything to the air authority if you are cancelling a flight that is subjected to flying for at least after 2 months. The cancellation fee is ZERO if the flight is cancelled within 24 hours of purchase and has at least 7 days of departure. You will have to pay USD 69 if you are cancelling your ticket 31 to 59 days before the scheduled departure. You will have to pay USD 99 if you are cancelling your ticket 7 to 30 days before the scheduled departure. What is the refund policy?  

The refund amount will be credited to the original way of payment. The refund for 24-hour cancellation gets credited to the account within 7 business days if the payment was done by credit or debit card. If the payment was done in cash or any other method, it will take up to 20 business days to get the amount credited after the deduction of the Korean Air cancellation fee. In that case, you need to submit your bank details during the refund request.
